Here's to 2009 - when the crane takes flight!

I'm not all about New Year's resolutions, sometimes things just need to get done. And sometimes, you just want to grow. This year I'm hoping to continue my growth as a designer. I've been spending the first few weeks trying to get organized to start the year off right.

I've also been working on some custom orders - I've got 2 done and 2 to go! =)

Here they are... a bobcat clutch:

Here's my model. =)

And then I had a big challenge in the slow loris. I kept feeling like he needed a tail. But hey, if Mother Nature didn't want to give him one, who am I to argue!

I've also been stocking up on leather, got some gold back in stock, as well as some more gunmetal. To add to my stock I got in some hot fire engine red, and a new version of copper and light blue. My plan right now is to spend next weekend, which is a long weekend, working on some new products. Along with some new card holders, ipod holders and change purse ideas, my plan is for my spring/summer line to also include new purse variations with metallic animal appliques - for a little TsuruBride action in the daytime. Oh, and I also have plans to offer my Orwell Clutches in neutrals - just need to find a leather that doesn't drive me nuts when I sew with it.
Just a couple other notes... First up, I'm trying to keep the first couple lines of my Etsy shop as an update to what's going on, so if you need the latest and greatest on my shop then check there. As for my blog, now that I've freshened up the look I've lost some icons in terms of music and my book list. These can be found through TsuruRadio for music and GoodReads for books, but if I pick up something neat I'll post about it.
So that's it. Or rather, that's the start of "it". Looks like I need to get cracking!
