Easter is coming!

So the girls are coming to visit over the Easter break and we're super excited! We headed over to Target to stock up on some chocolate bunnies and candy before all the good stuff was taken. Of course I couldn't help but indulge in getting something for myself, and this Beatrix Potter Peter rabbit just melted my heart!!! So adorable with his blue cardigan!!! OK, so I still ate him, but for a full 5 minutes I admired his cuteness. =)

New friends!

Got some new friends in the shop, and more on the way! First up, a new Orwell Clutch - a Scottie dog! The Scottie dog made his debut at Tiny Canary, and he's now wandered over to join his friends in my Etsy shop. You can find Scottie here.

And just added tonight - a monkey change purse! I figured it was time to add a friend for the sad panda and eager beaver. She's all shiny in pink and can be found in her new home here.

More new friends to join in the fun soon! And don't forget you can find these guys, and lots more at the CTA Craftstravaganza in April!

Facebook me!

Feel free to add me on the magical Facebook and see what I'm up to .
Friend me here.

Poppies, poppies everywhere...

I've had poppies on the brain for a while now, though I'm not sure why. I finally felt like I had some time for crafts, that wasn't sewing, so bebe and I did some painting. Here's my poppy painting, which should look nice in my "design studio". It's just a little guy, 5" x 5". I'm really happy how it turned out, since my usually style is very cartoony.

The Return of the Copper Cat!

Last fall my copper cat became a little infamous on the interwebs. She kept showing up in blog posts and of adverts for Tiny Canary. She was very loved. She also found a very good home with Tiny Canary co-creator Aline of Yumi Yumi. She even had a contest devoted to her. Sadly, for a while that was the end of the copper cat since I used up the last of my copper leather to make her. Then, through my new supplier, I found some new copper leather. Now, it's not the same in color or texture, but it is still copper. And so may I present Copper Cat Version 2.0! I even re-took photos in the same dress and pose to try and recapture some copper cat magic!! =)
And she can be all yours here.

Domos and Pink Skies

So, fellow Etsy Team Columbus member Jill, of Out Of The Pink Sky, asked me to make a iPhone holder for her husband's birthday. He's a huge fan of Domo-Kun, and while I usually stray from copywrite infringment, it was a one time thing for a fellow crafter. =) Here he is modeling my bebe's iPod...

The talented Jill, also did a little Q&A with me on her blog. She has a such a great sense of humor and her questions definitely kept me on my toes. You can check it out here!

Hot Dog!

Well, HOT DOG! That's right, that's one hot doggy purse. This red is so bright I can resist the cheesiness. Anywho, I'm back to adding new items to my shop, and this guy, the first clutch in this bright red leather, is first up. And he can be yours here.

Gone but not forgotten...

OK, so I've been a little MIA lately. First was a lovely, long weekend trip to visit my family and the in-laws in Florida (as well as a side trip to Walt Disney World - my first time!), then a wicked case of bronchitis, that I am FINALLY! over, and then a death in the family where I needed to go back home for a couple of days. Today is really the first day in a long while where I just feel great. I'm healthy, it feels like spring, I had a relaxing weekend, and I'm ready to carry on.

So keep watching this space, and my shop. Gonna have lots of posts heading your way, lots of new items, and announcements of upcoming shows as we head towards the warmer months!
